Week 17
This week was cut short by one day due to Independence holiday on Friday. Work crew did not work on Friday or Saturday. However, work continues to move forward. The men started to apply wood filler and sand the floors upstairs. Two of the nine rooms have been sanded. Downstairs the main meeting room has been primed and the floors are still waiting tile. The septic tank is close to finish. The men continue to work on the toilet block after being delayed a bit.
Week 18
This week the most notable feature is the sidewalk has been poured and also the stairs have been set. The upstairs bedrooms have all been sanded and most have their first coat of sealer/vanish. Downstairs, the men have started to tile the floor. The tile is expected to continue this week and the completion of the wood floor upstairs.
Week 19
This week more work continues to be done toward the completion of the building. The wood floors upstairs have their final coat of vanish. Half of the downstairs has been tiled. Sinks and toilets have been installed in the ablution block. Sinks for washing clothes are ready. The railing for the upstairs walkway is being installed. Kitchen counter is ready to be put in place.
Week 20
As you can see from the pictures, there are no interior pictures this week. This is because all windows and doors were pulled shut for the weekend. However, the railing for the stairs and upstairs walkway is near completion. All tile and wood floors have been finished. Sinks and toilets are installed. Showers have to be finished next week with a couple other finishing activities. The contractor hopes to be completed next week.
