Week 5
Downstairs framing is complete. Men started to lay floor joists and lay sheeting for the second floor. Framing the second floor will start next. It has been rainy so construction has been slowed a bit and site is getting muddy.
Week 6
Rain and more rain…workmen continue to work on framing the upstairs exterior walls and will start framing the interior bedrooms this week. They are also running copper plumbing in the downstairs. They roof rafters will be the next step after the framing is completed.
Week 7
Construction moves forward as the workmen continue to frame the upstairs. Most of the wood floor has been laid and two bedrooms have been framed in upstairs. The other men work on plumbing downstairs and the setting of the foundation for the toilets. Next week, the men will continue to work on finishing the framing of the upstairs before moving to the roof rafters.
Week 8
Build on, build on…This past week has been beautiful with no rain and plenty, hot sun. The crew was able to complete framing the nine bedrooms upstairs. The toilet block is waiting concrete for the footings and slab. This week the trusses will be going up for the roofing.
