Week 9
The framing of the downstairs, upstairs, and trusses is now complete. The ‘skeleton’ of the National Co-Worker House has been built. This is a milestone for this phase of the project and we give God praise for the work that has been done. Work is still being done on the toilet block. Men will continue to complete any framing that is unfinished. We have had three days of rain so the project site is quite muddy and perhaps the progression will be slowed some this week.
Week 10
Another great week for construction on the Co-Worker Housing project. This past week the workers wrapped the downstairs with silver backed paper to help keep the heat outside. Workers have nearly completed installing the tin roof. The workers will have the project completely under roof by early next week. The toilet block foundation has been poured and the men are working the cement block for the walls. Electrical romex wire is being pulled and installed for lights and outlets also.
Week 11
This week the building is getting it’s ‘shell’. The metal roof has been completed and the wood siding is starting to be installed. The workmen continue to work inside and outside of the building. Some are pulling electrical wire and others are laying cement blocks for the toilet/shower facilities. Soon the building will be closed in and dry.
Week 12
Progress continues for the co-worker housing project. The men are working both upstairs and downstairs as well as on the toilet block setting concrete blocks. Men continue putting up the wood siding and installing the wood paneling for the upstairs bedrooms. The work-site is a busy place. It is exciting to see how fast this building is coming together. The morale of the national translators is going up and they are being encouraged.
